The 1st Night  of your 5 Day safari at Kruger Park Lodge, and  3 nights in a rustic but comfortable hut in the middle of the African bush away from Tourist Routes. The huts have communal restrooms and no electricity and surrounded a spectacularly scenic wilderness area characterized by high granite outcrops with deep valleys as well as a flatter undulating landscape. 
all meals are provided by the in-house chef .
Trail’s biggest plus point however is to sit on a granite outcrop and to stare into the distance and experience a wild feeling in a wild land amongst wild creatures.

Johannesburg to Kruger Via Blyde River Canypns

  • Pick Up - Your Balanta Imagine Guide will pick you up at 7 am from Johannesburg or Pretoria for about  5 Hour Drive to the famous Blyde River Canyons,  with breaks for meals, snacks and restrooms . you will have an opportunity to tour attractions such as  Three Rondavels, Bourke's luck potholes and Water Falls

  • You will proceed to a charming Town of Hazyview just outside Kruger Park

  • Check in at Kruger Park Lodge

  • Relax / Leisure

  • Delicious Dinner



Kruger Park Lodge to Berg en Dal  Rest Camp

  • Your day will start with hearty breakfast between 06h30 and 09h00

  • Check out at 10h30

  • Make our way into the park through Numbi Gate, with a stop at Pretoriuskop Rest Camp

  • we will  slowly continue moving eastbound while taking in some game sightings

  • Lunch at Berg en Dal, and an opportunities to stock up on essentials and snacks for your trail adventure

  • 15h30 Departure to your trail on an open safari vehicle

  • Upon arrival you will be introduced to the camp and then given time to settle in and relax. The trail leader will offer a full briefing on the camp rules, routine for the next couple of days, what to expect, safety aspects and will answer any questions.

  • Boma Dinner


DAY 3 & 4

Wolhuter Trail

  • The mornings start before the crack of dawn with a cup of coffee, tea and a rusk after which the walk will start from camp or a drive might be taken out into the wilderness area to a point from where the morning walk will commence.

  • You will return late morning and after a well-deserved brunch a siesta is a welcome treat till mid afternoon. The afternoon activity consists of a short walk and traditional “sundowners”.

  • Return to camp where once again a well cooked meal is served to restore body and soul.



Departure and Exit to Johannebsurg

  • last morning you will have the opportunity to enjoy the early morning bush chorus from the camp as no walking takes place. Guests are then returned to point of departure after a small breakfast.

  • Exit and Transfers back to Johannesburg
