Mliwane
Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary is Eswatini’s first nature reserve, located near Mbabane in a scenic, mountainous area. The 4,500-hectare park lies between Mbabane and Manzini and features rugged hills to the north and grasslands to the south. It supports abundant wildlife, including buffalo, giraffe, hippo, zebra and several species of antelope such as kudu, blesbok and nyala. Visitors can explore on foot, by mountain bike, on horseback, or on game drives — including self-drive options.
Royal Hlane Park
Hlane Royal National Park is Eswatini’s largest protected area, located in the northeastern Lowveld. Covering roughly 30,000 hectares, it features flat savanna, mopane and acacia woodlands, and perennial rivers that attract abundant wildlife. Hlane is best known for large mammals: white and black rhino, elephant, lion, buffalo, and diverse antelope (impala, kudu, nyala). Birdlife is rich, including raptors, kingfishers and waterbirds.
Visitor facilities include guided game drives, walking safaris, hides for wildlife viewing and basic lodges/campsites inside and nearby. Access is by road from Manzini or via the main north–south highway; guided tours are recommended for big-game viewing and safety. The park plays a key role in Eswatini’s conservation and rhino protection efforts. Best viewing is during the dry season (May–October) when animals concentrate at water sources.
Kruger National Park

- Habitat: Savanna, mopane and riverine woodland.
- Wildlife: Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo), cheetah, wild dog, hippo, giraffe, many antelope and birds.

DAY 1
Johannesburg to Kruger

Begin your Kruger and Eswatini safari from either OR Tambo international airport or Nelspruit where your guide will pick you up for transfers to your first lodge.

Check in at Kholiwe On Kruger Lodge and enjoy delicious lunch

14h30 to 15h00 embark on a 3 hours afternoon safari in Kruger national park . this will be followed by dinner back at the lodge.

DAY 2
Kruger to Mlilwane

Your day will start early. You will depart the lodge at 05h30 for a thrilling morning Open Vehicle Safari Game Drive which will end at at around 09h30.

Enjoy breakfast , pack up and depart for your Swaziland adventure

Once you’ve cleared customs, you’ll continue your journey toward Mliwane Rest camp.

After enjoying breakfast and a morning activity in Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, you’ll begin your journey toward the pristine Royal Hlane Game Reserve. Known for its strong cultural heritage and impressive wildlife, Hlane is one of Eswatini’s most iconic protected areas, home to lion, elephant, white rhino, and a wide range of plains game and birdlife.
