Established at Mapungubwe Hill between 900 and 1300 AD, It was home to a POWERFUL TRIBE that flourished on trading with eastern cultures such as Egypt, China and India.  Theories suggest that the emmergence of The Great Zimbabwe might have triggered the demise of Mapungubwe.

The Great Zimbabwe Ruins   - are sub-Saharan Africa's most important and largest stone ruins - 2nd to ruins of ancient Egypt.

The Great Zimbabwe society is believed to have become increasingly influential during the 11th Century.  As the Great Zimbabwe people flourished, they built an empire whose huge stone buildings which would eventually spread over 200 square miles (500 km2). 

Bulawayo - is second largest city in Zimbabwe and the chief city of Matabeleland (i.e., the Ndebele-dominated western third of the country). The city lies along the Matsheumlope River in the southwestern part of the country, 4,405 feet (1,341 metres) above sea level in undulating savanna terrain. The original site was the kraal (headquarters) of Lobengula, king of the Ndebele, who fought a major battle against his rivals there; Bulawayo means “place of slaughter.” 

Victoria Falls - original name  Mosi oa tunya "the smoke that thunders", is a waterfall in southern Africa on the Zambezi River at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Victoria falls is 1 708 meters wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. 

Livingstone, Zambia was, until 2012, the capital of the Southern Province of Zambia. Lying 10 km (6.2 mi) to the north of the Zambezi River, it is a tourism centre for the Victoria Falls and a border town with road and rail connections to Zimbabwe on the other side of the Victoria Falls.
Chobe National Park,  is the second largest national park in Botswana and covers 11 700 square km, has one of the greatest concentrations of game found in Africa. It encompasses floodplains, swamps, and woodlands.
